Expert Wound Care,
Delivered On-Site

Southern Wound Care provides mobile wound care that is focused, reliable, and grounded in clinical expertise. We treat patients in their homes, care facilities, or medical practices. Every visit is by appointment, and every patient receives care based on a clear, individualized plan.

Advanced Wound Care

Advanced Wound Care is for wounds that need more than basic dressing changes—wounds at risk of infection, slow to heal, or caused by underlying conditions such as diabetes or vascular disease.

This service includes:

  • Wound assessment and documentation
  • Development of individualized care plans
  • Application of advanced dressings (e.g. alginates, foams, hydrocolloids)
  • Topical treatments or enzyme applications
  • Infection monitoring
  • Coordination with home health or referring physician
  • Ongoing wound measurements and progress tracking

What It Helps With:

  • Diabetic foot ulcers
  • Venous and arterial ulcers
  • Pressure injuries (bedsores)
  • Surgical and traumatic wounds
  • Wounds with delayed healing or stalled progress

Why It Matters:
Chronic and high-risk wounds require consistent, skilled care to heal properly. We provide that care on-site, with thorough documentation at every step.

Wound Debridement

Wound Debridement

Debridement is the removal of dead, infected, or nonviable tissue from a wound. It clears the path for new, healthy tissue to grow and helps reduce complications.

This service includes:

  • Assessment of tissue type and wound status
  • Sharp debridement (with sterile instruments)
  • Enzymatic or autolytic debridement when appropriate
  • Pain management techniques as needed
  • Wound bed preparation for re-dressing
  • Ongoing monitoring for bleeding, infection, or recurrence

What It Helps With:

  • Necrotic or slough-covered wounds
  • Infected wounds
  • Chronic wounds with stalled healing
  • Surgical wounds at risk of dehiscence

Why It Matters:
Without effective debridement, wounds can remain stuck in the inflammatory phase. Removing nonviable tissue gives the body a chance to move forward in healing.
